Qacaq Newsletter Oct - Dec 2009

Hello Qacaq Members,

It’s the final quarter of the year and Qacaq has never been busier in expanding our empire of precious accessories. Yet, after the major Rainforest Music World Festival event, the team decided to slow it down and concentrate on more pressing matters that truly touched a special place in our hearts. We felt it was time to give back to society and focused on charitable activities.

Thanks to your help and determined hard work from the team, Qacaq managed to garner a very impressive amount of RM2416 for our charity of choice;  The Community Rehabilitative Centre for children with special needs or Program Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PDK) located in Kuching. Due to all that charity work, all the specialized Qacaq T-shirts have been sold out, however we will make more should you demand for this extra fabulous top to add to your wardrobe collection. So be a part of our exclusive team and pre-order quickly at info@qacaq.com because they do sell fast.

Qacaq also made its television debut on Kuppa Kopi, a Sarawak produced talk show on RTM1 aired on the 3rd of August 2009 at 3.05pm. We hoped you all managed to tune in. Needless to say it was a nerve wrecking experience but exciting all the same. Alright world, we’re ready for our close up!

As we mentioned earlier, we’re constantly expanding our collection and we’re excited to share our latest love, Qacaq’s children’s collections. Go check them out at http://www.qacaq.com/childrens-collections. Here, you’ll find wonderful designs that can be passed on for generations to come. You know, it’s never too early to start collecting your family heirlooms.

(source:The Beauty and Meaning of Birthstones By  Reno Charlton)

1. October – Opal and Tourmaline

Opal is the birthstone for October and the gemstone given to commemorate a 14th wedding anniversary. Opal has symbolized hope, innocence and purity through the ages. It enhances insight and dispels fear. Tourmaline, which is the alternative birthstone for October is believed to strengthen the body and spirit, especially the nervous system, blood, and lymphs.

2. November – Citrine and Yellow Topaz

Citrine is the birthstone for November and the traditional anniversary gemstone for the 13th year of marriage. Citrine is believed to have the properties to increase creativity and feelings of joy. The ancient Greeks  believed that the topaz, the alternative for November birthstone had the power to increase strength and endurance, making it a stone for the faithful and constant.

3. December – Turquoise and Blue Topaz

Turquoise is the birthstone for December and the traditional gift to commemorate the 5th and 11th years of marriage. Turquoise's bright and happy color is supposed to lend self-confidence to subdued personalities, and it is also very popular as a token of friendship. Blue Topaz, an alternative to December birthstone is said to be symbolic of love and fidelity.

This is our final newsletter for the year 2009, it’s been a great experience and we’d like to end it by wishing everybody a Selamat Hari Raya, Happy Deepavali, Happy Chinese New Year, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2010. How time flies, we hope you’ll continue to join us as we look towards a bigger, better more exciting future ahead and may these celebrations and entrance to 2010 bring more adventures for us all.

Take care!

From,

The QACAQ Team
