Qacaq Newsletter July - September 2009

Hello Readers,
Our second newsletter is the bearer of great news, albeit a little late in the quarter. We are now less than a week away from the much anticipated Rainforest World Music Festival. Borneo will transform into an international music hub on the 10th till 12th of July. So if you haven’t got your plane tickets or RWMF tickets yet, you better act fast because word is, they’re selling fast!

The Rainforest World Music Festival will be having the Rainforest World Craft Bazaar again this year. This event attracted huge crowds with their array of traditional materials and traditionally skilled artwork. This year is a special one as QACAQ, who is supportive of all charities, will be combining our promotions to benefit a very special charity close to our hearts which is the Community Rehabilitative Centre for children with special needs or Program Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PDK) located in Kuching. The centre is to enable special children to have a place to go to and interact with others .  They  are given massage and therapy by the staff with a view of improving their mobility.  Parents who do not work drop in to learn these techniques so that they can apply them at home.   They are given care and attention and also taught how to be self-sufficient ( to those who are not paraplegic).

We’ll be selling necklaces, charm bracelets, earrings, and more at the reasonable price of RM5.00 to RM50.00. All proceeds will go to that charity organization. So please do buy our items because not only will you look good but you’ll be looking good for a good cause. Give them as gifts for family, friends, anybody! Just remember you’ll be contributing to charity and getting a free of charge warm fuzzy feeling. 

We’ve also got a new selection of anklets for you to check out. The QACAQ team decided that our growing collection of accessories needed to grow some more. We assure you they’ll make excellent one-of-a-kind gifts, just like every other QACAQ jewellery. All this RWMF hype and excitement is really getting to us and we’ve been creating designs by the bulk.

Even in the midst of this entire hullabaloo, QACAQ still had time to devise promotional offers you just can’t refuse. One in particular, which we know you’ll want to remember, is a surprise free gift from QACAQ with the mention of our newsletter or the QACAQ fan club on Facebook at our stall during the RWMF. What a bargain right! Be sure to make it a point to stop by our modest stall before you party it up. We can’t wait to meet all of you!

1. July – Ruby and Carnelian
